Uranus into Gemini- When Words Get in The Way
On April 25, 2026, Uranus enters Gemini and stays there for about 7 years. Just two days before this, Venus and Uranus conjoined in the last degrees of Taurus, fixed earth, where Uranus doesn’t like to be for he is the sign of sudden shifts and changes…. Venus Rules Taurus, and LOVES to be in this sign, comfortable, abundant, like a warm sunny day, lounging after a perfect meal, laying on the grass and watching the clouds float by…. Ahhhh….
3 hours later Venus moves into Gemini… and for some reason right now, the retro rock song “Do you Love me? Do you love me? Now… that I…. can dance…..” Hmmm……
Two days later Uranus arrives there, but this pressure and transition from their meeting in the abundant earth of spring, to the wild winds of mutable air and springtime, flavor the next long transit of Uranus in Gemini, for foreseeable future. ( Because Uranus went retrograde, they also met at the end of Taurus July 3-4 2025, so think back about what seeds we saw then… cycles within cycles, Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill)
The Seeds planted in this meeting in fertile ground, will be influencing us for years. Whirl Wind romances, quick signing of agreements, later to be quickly broken, and decisions made, unmade, made again come to mind…
Hasty commitments… I just liked the color of the car, I didn’t know it was uncomfortable to drive and it has horrible blind spots…. And I have a 2 hour commute each day….
I also see wanting a commitment, but getting caught up in talking about how this commitment should be written or preformed… So the outcome is this commitment never happens…. Maybe the parties are too caught up in hyper specific agendas of their own, that they can’t see the forest for the trees….
The thing is, Uranus, the God of Lightning is here, and things can happen suddenly and unexpectedly, and burn that forest down…. We spent all our time talking about an ideal outcome, what we desire, whose fault it is? who should have done something.
If we just spend our time talking about the situation We never resolved anything, we never take proactive action to actually address the smoldering pile of poo sitting in the corner.
Overthinking can lead to inaction. Not a good thing with a fire approaching. Do we grab a hose, bucket and shovel and start working on it? Or do we stand and argue about who owns the hose, the appropriate size of a bucket, the best technique in using a shovel?
The winds may shift; Will the fire cross the river?

Lightning has struck a ridge over… you see the approaching fire. See the winds fanning the flames. Do you have your emergency radio alerts on? I hope you have already dug those fire breaks around you and yours, and have gone on to help your neighbor.
These are the winds Uranus rides in on in 2026, and we humans should take note.
In Qabala, Uranus, is represented by Keter- at the top of the Tree of Life, The Crown. It is located above your head. It is the sefirah closest to spirit, and is considered the deepest spiritual aspect of the divine we can experience. Associated with Archangel Metatron, who links the divine and Humans, and Gifted humans Qabala. Its color is Brilliant white, fragrances Frankincense, Sage. I have written about Uranus, and how I think about its energy in my writing on Royal Fern. How, do we ground the lightning when it strikes? Inspiration, and responsibility- the ability to respond….

What about the seeds that came to bear last time Uranus was in Gemini? It has an 84 year cycle, and the cycles before that?
Studying these periods of time, can help us reflect on possible influences. I think of these as spirals , and them occurring almost every other theme, especially when a twin sign Gemini is involved. I have been on a deep dive into the history of the mid 1800’s lately, so here are my ideas on how this might affect us in this modern age…
Pluto is in Aquarius now. It is the USA Pluto return of the signing of the Constitution and all these cycles of Uranus will be revealing. Pluto will be trining Uranus in Gemini, revealing the decisions that we made about systems in the past, impacting us now… Pluto brings things up from the depths. Lets take note of a few things that happened when Uranus was in the air sign Aquarius, and compare them to when Uranus moves into the next Air sign, Gemini.
Uranus in Aquarius
1828-1836- Indian Removal Act, The trail of tears start for many tribes… Terrif Nullification Crisis, Bank War, Slavery is abolished in Mexico, and the British Empire…
1912-1920 -social changes after WWI- League of Nations- and its subsequent failure to prevent WWII. Pandemic of 1918.
1996-2003 – The Internet, 9-11, and 2nd Iraq War, housing and banking collapse and what we did to “fix” it.
History doesn’t happen in segments like we study it, it happens in waves of ancestors, so for me, the Irish famine of the 1840’s needs to be acknowledged. This is a terrible wound. Potatoes failed, because of a blight, and other crops, wheat, oats, and barley were shipped to land owners for “rent”.
This has a big influence on what the rest of the 1800’s will have to deal with in the industrial age.
Uranus in Gemini-
1774-1782 – The American Revolution, Uranus was discovered 1781
1859-1866 – Lincoln is Elected, Civil War begins and ends, Dakota War of 1862, resulting in the largest mass execution (Dakota 38) to happen in the US History. 13th amendment to abolish slavery passes. The Carrington Event, a large flare from the sun that caused a CME. This damages the Telegraph system, and shocks people, even starting fires.
1941-1949 -Continuation of WWII, The US enters the War, The Holocaust, The Atomic Bomb, The State of Israel is established, UN and NATO is created. (in 1950 the Korean War begins…)
2026-2033-We are here… possibilities- Cyber-attacks, information control and spin. Drones, AI warfare, will we put guardrails in for these things? A “civil war” about access to resources? What constitutes Slave labor? What is a Reservation? Forcibly removing people. Taxation without Representation. Do we bail out banks and investment firms, or do we help out people?
Just a few thoughts….
Remember Uranus is also inspired action, so let’s be open to the answers when they come…
Uranus, is visiting the house of Gemini. Let’s talk about how that house, or path expresses itself.
The sign of Gemini, is related to path 17 on the Tree of Life. It connects Binha, Saturn, the left side of the Head, to Tiphareth, the Sun, the Heart.
The letter Zain, represents the Sword…. A double-edged sword. Who needs our protection, what do we need to cut out of our life? Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face….
The Tarot Card the Lovers, and tales of sacred twins. Some belong to the heavens, some to the earth. I had lots of thoughts about those sacred twins, so I will be writing another article about Gemini and some of my favorite stories and expressions of this sign.
The Forest Lovers in The Wild Wood Tarot
The Tarot card above of the Lovers is probably my favorite. We see the Birch tree, the physical manifestation of new beginnings, and we see two people binding themselves to each other, promising a commitment. We also see Lords and Lady’s, the symbol for balanced male and female energies in one plant. Layers of meaning….
It also reminds us to be aware of what we bind ourselves to, as the Lovers represent in a reading an agreement from the past, coming into influence in the present. Choices from the past define our current situation, not only personally, but as a family, as a company, as a country, as a citizen of the Earth herself. How have our past choices worked out? Can we put our heads and hearts together and make better choices in the NOW. This new moment we are in. We have the opportunity for inspired creativity and linage building.
The cycle of Uranus is 84 years, what do we want to leave our Grandchildren? Do we want National Parks for them to visit? Or do we want Ready Player One? (watch the movie…)
